Hello Sunshine HWC’s Healthy Food Funds 5K Fun Run
This is a “safe for all” virtual 5k Fun Run, benefiting the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, providing funds for healthy food choices!
As Central Alabama’s largest hunger relief organization, they annually distribute over 11 million nutritious meals through a network of 230 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and children’s programs. When they discover gaps in services, they step in with direct-service programs to address the needs of children, seniors, and those who are ill, as well as those living in food deserts!
Not only are food drives a bit more difficult at the present time, processed and man made foods are mainly, well, just not good for us! While we all need to try and stay away from them and eat whole natural foods, it is not as easy for those who cannot choose for themselves!
