Ramsey White
Our founder’s passion for running began as a young boy racing kids on the playground. As Ramsey grew older, he discovered an aptitude for sports where speed and endurance influenced his team’s ability to win. After encouragement from family and friends to try out Track and Field, Ramsey went on to finish 1st at the 5A Alabama State Championship meet in the 800m/1600m his Senior year. His performances earned him a Division 1 scholarship to Samford University where he competed in distances from the 400m – 10k. Post college, Ramsey took off 6 years from running to begin a career and start a family. It wasn’t long before running found its way back into his life in 2019. Since then, Ramsey has passionately pursued distance running. In 2020, he finished a half marathon in 1:14 and crossed the finish line in 15:40 in the 5k in 2021. This Fall, Ramsey ran 2:59.09 in the marathon to qualify for Boston in 2022.
Ramsey’s mission for RunWithACoach is to provide affordable virtual coaching to any runner who wants to get fit and run fast from the mile all the way up to the marathon. And to create a community where all runners feel welcome, appreciated, and encouraged to reach their goals.
