In 2023, 85-year-old Alabama resident, Jim Barnes attempted to set an age group World Record in the 48-hour run. Our film crew followed him to Hoover, Gadsden, London and Gloucester, UK, and finally to Alabaster, Alabama to see if his dreams would be possible. All along the way our goal was to discover his “why”. Why would someone go to these lengths to achieve a goal of this magnitude? What could motivate a person to walk around a 1/4 mile track for 48 hours?
